Regular visitors to the attic during the tours at "Open Doors in the Attic" can look forward to a new invitation, where they will again see significant progress. The work of craftsmen in the attic is successfully continuing. Masons, electricians, plumbers, electronic experts, floor layers, meet here... it's just finishing up. Hundreds of meters of new electrical installations, both strong and weak current, have been laid, drywall is covered with beautiful plastering, plumbers have made new heating circuits, and new radiators are already being installed. The wooden floors are sanded and await painting – they will look great. Of course, not everything went smoothly, but the result will be worth it.

Furniture Adoption?

A new selection of furniture and other equipment that needs to be ordered is also slowly being made. At a recent organizational meeting of the "Attic Council," a proposal was made to allow the direct adoption of individual pieces of furniture for those who want and can support the furnishing of our new space. It will serve for many years for visitors, pilgrims, families who come to us. Are you tempted by the possibility of adopting a new bed, bedside table, chair, lamp...? If so, you will find out more soon.

And why are we actually doing this?

We started this project primarily due to the expanding activities of the parish. An additional social room is necessary; the spaces on the ground floor are often filled with various groups whose activities overlap in time. These activities also create a need for accommodation for interesting guests who enrich parish life with spiritual renewals and lectures. Certainly, financial reasons are not the least. The newly insulated spaces will prevent heat loss from the lower floors and reduce heating costs. Nice accommodation in the city center that we will offer for parish tourism in an interesting location will bring funds to the parish budget. The parish has very few other sources of income, yet it remains exceedingly vibrant and active.

Project Financing

Two million crowns for the planned construction modifications to the attic are largely secured from the parish budget. We hope to obtain another million crowns from sponsors and small donors. It is customary that during the work, additional tasks will appear that will need to be done. Also, equipping with new furniture, bedding, lighting, and other small items will incur costs. Therefore, we dare to ask for your support. Most of all, for spiritual support, prayers for the success of the project, so that it may serve for the development of our parish in the future, attract interesting guests and provide them with a pleasant environment, or serve other purposes related to pastoral work.
